Astounding  Asia tours

From culture to cuisine, sights to scenery, our Asia tours surprise and delight at every turn. Tour the forts and palaces of India or the tea plantations and temples of Sri Lanka. In Central Asia and the Caucasus, you could follow Uzbekistan’s Silk Road route, or discover the ancient churches, mountain villages and wine-making towns of Armenia and Georgia.

Asia is the biggest and most populated continent on Earth, which means it has a wide variety of cuisines. Each region has its own unique ingredients and cooking techniques. For example, East Asia is known for stir-frying, steaming, and noodles. South Asia has a multitude of spices and is famous for dishes like curries, biryanis, and flatbreads. Meanwhile, Central Asia is known for its hearty meat dishes.

Discover the intriguing contrast between the traditional and cutting-edge in East Asia, where ancient sacred sites stand shoulder to shoulder with futuristic skyscrapers. Those who venture to the south-eastern corner of Asia will be greeted with a blend of lush jungle landscapes, powerhouse cities, and pin-drop-peaceful temples that create a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural immersion, our Asia holidays will delight and astound you in equal measure.

More information about Asia

Our Asia tours are all accompanied by an expert tour manager – someone who’ll be there throughout the trip to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely. Itineraries are carefully designed by our team of experts and include a selection of excursions and experiences to enhance your trip, often taking in some of the best places to visit in Asia.

In Borneo, for example, you’ll enjoy a safari by boat, looking out for pygmy elephants relaxing on the banks of the river. And in Armenia, we’ll listen to a private recital in a centuries-old rock church and learn to create a local speciality during a cooking class.

Vaccination requirements can change without notice and can be specified as a condition of entry, or just as an advisable precaution only. We will advise you of any destinations that require compulsory vaccinations as a condition of entry.

We strongly suggest that you consult your GP or one of the specialist vaccination centres for more detailed and current information at your time of travel.

Visa requirements for Asia holidays vary depending on the passport you hold and the length of time you’re planning on staying. For the most up-to-date information on visas, please use the quick-check tool on our visa requirements page.

We carefully plan our itineraries to avoid unsafe destinations and are constantly referring to government travel advice in case situations change. We will always keep you informed of any issues. That said, it's always worth taking precautions to deter pickpockets when travelling through large crowds or on public transport by making sure your bag has a secure zip and its place across your body. Avoid walking around in the evening alone or wandering anywhere not recommended by your tour manager.

When deciding when to travel to Asia, it's important to keep in mind that the best time to visit can vary depending on the country. As the largest continent in the world, many factors can influence the ideal time to travel, such as the weather, and it ultimately comes down to personal preference. We aim to offer the best departure dates possible depending on the country's seasons and avoid where possible monsoon season when we know it can affect the enjoyment of your tour.

Travelling to Japan is especially recommended during the springtime months of March to May, when the cherry trees are in full bloom, especially towards the end of April.

In India, Holi, also known as the Festival of Colors, is celebrated at the start of spring. To experience the welcoming of spring, consider travelling to India in March.

Drinking water in the UK is one of the cleanest in the world, but it's recommended to avoid tap water when in Asia and to instead drink bottled water. There are some countries however where it is considered safe such as Japan.
